Our collaboration with YSP Industries Sdn Bhd for the event Greenstopia 2.0. at Kepong Metropolitan Park was successfully held on October 13, 2024. On the great event day, people from various Malaysian regions were gathered with their recyclable items. They stood up in line and exchanged their recyclables with fresh produce such as fruits and vegetables. 
Our team members were wearing dark green T-shirts on the event day. On the day, we have collected various recyclable items such as newspapers, magazines, books, printer paper, electronic gadgets, boxes, spray cans, plastic bottles, aluminum tins, and metal cans. We kept recycle drums for each category, and the collected recyclable litters were collected on the respective drums.
Thanasekaran Kumaraguru, representing Thanam Industry Sdn Bhd, gave recycling guidance to the team members from YSP Industries. He provided the participants with clarification regarding the kinds of products that can be recycled by grabbing on his invaluable experience. He advised participants not to use polistirena since it cannot be recycled. He contributed to packing and sorting the collected items to provide proper recycling. His journey with recycling has been a journey of awareness, action, and continuous learning. His approach to spreading recycling knowledge helped people realize how important it is to recycle and encourage sustainable habits in order to reduce waste and recycle products and make Mother Earth a better place.
In essence, recycling begins at home. Before purchasing something, consider if it is really needed or if any other environmentally friendly alternative is there. Recycling is a small step that can make a big difference in the long run. Each person must be aware of their recycling responsibilities. Even small contributions to recycling can have a significant positive impact on the environment. We make the earth healthier for present and future generations by recycling our materials!!
