Recyclable Art Sculpture by Malaysian Institute of Art (MIA) Students

Theme: The Vanishing Marine Creatures

This collection of sculptures is based on the theme ‘The Vanishing Marine Creatures’ to provide awareness on plastic pollution. According to research done by World Wide Fund for nature, a staggering amount of plastic waste pollutes the homes of the sea creatures. Plastic garbage in particular is often mistaken for food by marine animals which eventually lead to their death. Hence, the sculptures which are made of recyclable materials serve as a reminder to the society to consume less plastic products.
